The Accounting Department is responsible for managing the areas of accounting and finance:

• Maintaining the books and records of the company
• Financial forecasting and modeling
• Billing
• Accounts payable and receivable
• Cash management
• Payroll

The Law Department is responsible for managing the legal affairs of the company:

• Provides advice on legal forms, title issues, recording practices and general legal issues affecting MERS
• Manages the MERS foreclosure process and procedures
• Reviews contracts and written materials produced by other divisions
• Maintains the corporate records of the company
• Coordinates preparation of materials for Board of Directors meetings
• Administers the rules of MERS membership

The Corporate Services Department is organized to support MERS in the following areas of responsibility:

• Office and facilities administration and support 
• Employee benefits development and administration
• Personnel records and policies 
• Corporate event planning for conferences and meetings
